Classic MCM
We find it very challenging to pass by a Classic Mid-century Modern (MCM) armchair in our wanders. We have collected a number of these, and have painstakingly disassembled & refurbished.
What you see below is the beautiful outcome of sanding the wood back and iteratively working grit-after-grit to a silky smooth finish. The lines of these frames are amazing and the wood, spectacular; to think they are now 60 to 70 years old.
The hard work is done on these frames & all that is waiting is a new custodian with some inspiration & fabric choice selection. Then we will re-spring, sew & assemble.
