Interwoven Expression
It seems only fitting that “Interwoven Expression”, the first collaboration between Kerri from Antiquate & Jen from Eclectic Boogaloo made another star-studded appearance in their latest escapades. Against the back-drop of the set for the final challenge for the contestants of The Block 2020, Interwoven Expression sat center stage for the Upholstery Challenge, generously sharing their immense comfort with Scott Cam & Shelley Craft; their thrones.

Kerri & Jen’s chance encounter in 2018 has grown into such an ongoing social & supportive friendship that has helped us both navigate & adapt an age-old trade. For such different backgrounds, we had so much in common; our values, our passion & our energy. We knew from day-dot, we needed to collaborate.

Together we’ve unleashed our artistic skills on a pair of early-century hard wood armchairs, culminating in a pair of breathtaking, one-of-a kind piece of functional art.

We have stripped these pieces back to the frame, whilst working the show-wood, sanding & polishing to revive the character for the wood grain. Carefully, we have rebuilt from ground up using traditional upholstery techniques to ensure the most luxurious comfort.
