Description
We have teamed up with the amazing Sora & Britt at Ink & Spindle to bring you a collaboration match made in Upholstery Heaven. Soak up the knowledge on the process of putting designs onto screens, layering colours and illustrations to print your own meter of fabric ready for one of our upholstery or sewing courses, or to take away for your own upholstery or sewing project. Not only will you be introduced to the art of screen-printing, you’ll get to hang out in a creative space of awesome. Time to get dirty.
Please note that this course is located at Ink & Spindle’s print studio at the amazing Abbotsford Convent (address below).

About your Print Gurus
Your teachers Sora & Brit will teach you the ways of the studio. Sora, the Studio Manager heads up the print team at Ink & Spindle and along side Brit will make you feel welcome as you learn the art of printing. Trust me, you’re in safe hands!
Choosing a Fabric
On this printing course, you’ll choose a meter of fabric from two heavy weight base-cloths, both suitable for upholstery & soft furnishings to lay down your design.
The Important bits
Location: SH 1.32 Sacred Heart Building, Abbotsford Convent, 1 St Heliers St, Abbotsford VIC 3067
Parking: The Abbotsford Convent has a carpark for $2ph or there is free street parking nearby. To find the studio please refer to this handy map.
Wear: Clothes you don’t mind getting a bit inked
Age: 16 years and older
Experience: None required
Walk away with
All equipment is supplied. You’ll take away a meter of upholstery grade linen with your own hand screen-printed design from various pre-prepared screens. You’ll be able to use this fabric on one of our Upholstery or Sewing courses, at Upholstery Club or on your own home projects, so that you can turn your fabric into a piece of furniture you can appreciate every day!
Note that Upholstery or Sewing courses, or Upholstery Club will need to be booked separately and are not included in this course fee.
