Product Spotlight Series: #3 "Mid-Century Lovers" Armchair

We absolutely love our mid-century furniture here at Eclectic Boogaloo and if there is any such furniture worth salvaging in our eyes, it is the Danish Style armchairs.

Danish Design has passed the resurgence stage and has come to settle back down as a staple in many a stylish home.  It is popular for its minimalist approach; simple, clean lines.  Although most Danish designed furniture was made for the mass produced market, the techniques they employed and the materials they used show that they still valued traditional craftsmanship.

It is with this in mind, that I take the utmost care when refurbishing vintage Danish Armchairs.  These chairs are carefully taken apart, cleaned, stripped bare and lovingly hand finished to a silky smooth touch.  It is then reconstructed, ready for it's new clothes.

Hand refurbished, here in our warehouse in Melbourne, we have dressed this chair to pay homage to its original linen finish fabric.  Choosing a more modern denim blue base, we have highlighted the shape of the chair with yellow piping details.

Mr Eclectic Boogaloo has once again weaved his hand machine-sketched magic.  In homage to the simple, clean lines of traditional Danish Style armchairs, he has created two figures, suggestive in their stance.  It is now up to you to decide what their fate is.

Imagine having this show stopper in your home.
