I’m not going to lie, this restoration project is going to take a magician. In fact, I’m not even going to suggest a commission on this set of dining chairs, there is just way too much work; way past financial viability. I picked up these chairs a few years ago, a set of 4 (plus 1 stray), and they have been patiently sitting in our warehouse collecting dust. I’ve thought about reviving them about the same amount of times I’ve thought about dumping them at the tip, but it’s kind-of like I took responsibility for them when I first purchased them. Once you’ve picked up litter, is it acceptable to litter it? Arghh. So there is only one thing left to do, embrace the in-perfections, wabi-sabi the f’ out of them. Collaboration anyone?
